Stone Knight Writers wants to help Writers get noticed in the film business. We know some excellent writers have exciting stories to tell the world. The winner can win a cash prize and the possibility to have their story placed in the production of Stone Knight.

FAQ

Becoming a subscriber is easy. First, you must choose a package you want to subscribe to. After that, all subscribers can access what SKW (Stone Knight Writers) offers to further their writing careers.

A non-subscribers can only pay the total price for every entry and view the website.

Subscribers can cancel their subscriptions at any time if any subscriber enters any contest of the SKW (Stone Knight Writers) contests and cancels their subscription. Their stories will still be in the contest until the contest ends. Allow cancellation to end a month before the next renewal payment.

Every criteria length of pages for a (Feature/ Short) is the following:

Feature length (90-140)

Short (25-45)

These are the length of pages that we require from every writer.

With our (Unlimited) entry. Subscribers (Adult Writers/Youth Writers) can enter as many stories as they wish before the deadline ends. Non-subscribers will pay the total price for every story they want to enter in contests.

  • To participate in the (Adult Feature and Short) contest, you must be 18 or older.
  • To participate in (Youth Feature and Short) contest, you must be 12 to 17.
  • To participate in a (Logline, Synopsis One-page, Title challenge, 5 pages-read, the Pitch challenge, and One Story. One Writer. Wins ALL) contest for ages 12 and up.

SKW is “Stone Knight Writers.” A service that provides help to writers to pitch their story or stories to productions studios or Independent productions to bring their story to social media, on a big screen, or any device and sell their story within the film business.

The Winner has fifteen (15) days from receipt notification to claim their prize. The Winner’s prize will be delivered via overnight mail to them within (7) days from when SKW (Stone Knight Writers) must verify their identification. All unclaimed prizes will be added back into Future Film Writers’ funds.

Yes and No.

Yes, we recommend you copyright your screenplay with any Copyright Office or U.S. Copyright Office and register it with the WGA West or WGA East to protect the writer’s material from being copied by unknown writers.

No, you do not have to copyright your material, but we prefer you to think about it. However, there is an old way to have your material copyrighted. Just mail an original copy to yourself by using a Post office service.

All U.S. and non-US citizens can submit their work to (Stone Knight Writers). All materials must be in English.

Yes, you can submit both a synopsis and a video. A short synopsis (1 page or less) must include each screenplay you submit. Only your name and the title of your screenplay should appear in the synopsis. If you have a (2) minute video that you would like to use as a pitch, by all means, use it.

There are ways to sell or not to sell. Writers can choose to have their story sole or not to any production company or Independent business. Stone Knight gives the Writers a choice of (a cash prize or a cash prize award). What is the difference between the two?

Cash prize: The Writer can only win the cash prize without selling their story to any production or Independent. However, they will be recognized for their work on our SKP website.

Cash prize award: The Writer can win the cash prize, award certificate, or trophy, and their story is placed in the hands of the producer or director within Stone Knight.

Open – This informs every Writer that a contest is ready for entry on this date.

Deadline – This means the contest is coming to a close soon. After the deadline, we will no longer be able to receive any entries from Writers.
