1. By signing the entry form, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, agree, and abide by these contest rules.
2. Non-Subscribers pay a full entry fee for every story entered into any contests.
3. Based on the subscriber package. Subscribers can enter as many screenplays with unlimited entry till the deadline of any contest.
4. Every contest has a beginning and a deadline. The beginning is when the contest accepts entries, and the deadline is when the contest will not accept any entries.
5. To participate in the (Adult Feature and Short) contest, you must be 18 or older.
6.To participate in (Youth Feature and Short) contest, you must be 11 to 17.
7.To participate in a (Logline, Synopsis One-page, Title challenge, 5 pages-read, the Pitch challenge, and One Story. One Writer. Wins ALL) contest for ages 11 and up.
8. Subscribers can enter contests to win a (Cash Prize) Become a subscriber.
9. Head photo of you without a ball cap or sunglasses. When we announce the winner, their headshot will be posted as our Winner on the website.
10. If the entry form is incomplete, it will be returned along with the entry fee and screenplay, and you will not be entered into the contest. If you pay by credit card, we will refund your fee within (5-7) business days. The weekends are not business days.
11. Winners will be notified by email or certified mail within seventy-two (72) hours after the end of the contest.
12. The winner is responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, miscellaneous fees, or charges. In addition, the winner agrees to supply their social security number to Stone Knight Productions for tax purposes. Note: The winner pays taxes if the cash prize is over ($100.00) based on your federal, state, and local taxes.
13. By submitting your screenplay, you represent and warrant that the screenplay submitted is your original story. Accordingly, you have the right to and do grant the use of the screenplay by SKW (Stone Knight Writers) or SKP (Stone Knight Productions) as outlined in Paragraph 14 below. In addition, you indemnify and hold harmless SKW or SKP, its managers, agents, subsidiaries, licensees, and assigns from and against all claims or encumbrances; infringements of copyright, service mark, and trademark; or any other right(s) of a third party to the screenplay you submitted to this contest.
14. The winner claiming their prize authorizes SKW or SKP, its managers, agents, subsidiaries, and licensees and assigns an irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free, and non-compensation right to use their story, its synopsis, their name, likeness, photograph, and their city and state (to display, transmit, publish, and otherwise make use of in any way and any or all media. Including, but not limited to, the Internet SKP website or other domains’ websites SKP has set up a web page.) For promotional and advertising purposes in any manner and any medium including, without limitation, radio broadcasts, newspapers, and any other publication(s), and in television or film releases, streaming, distribution over the Internet, on our SKP website on other domains’ websites, and picture data storage. Winner of (synopsis or full screenplay) used for promotional or advertising purposes only.
15. The Winner must show proof of age and identity by presenting to SKW or SKP their driver’s license or another valid form of picture identification and social security number within fifteen (15) days from the date of receipt of the notification by SKW or SKP to claim their prize if the winner fails to provide this information to SKW or SKP within the specified time. The Winner will forfeit their prize.
16. Your submission must be your original screenplay (no adaptations unless you have the rights to the work you are adapting) written in English. The screenplay submission must NOT be or is in negotiation to be published, produced, sold, or under option at the time of submission. All pages must be sequentially numbered, and writing on the script’s spine is prohibited. Personal information should only be on the entry form you submit with each screenplay.
17. A short synopsis (1) page or less (Feature or Short) must be included with each screenplay you submit. Only your name and the title of your screenplay should appear in the synopsis. If you have a (2-minute) video you would like to use as a pitch, use it.
18. Judges will be anonymous. All judges’ decisions are final.
19.Screenplay collaborations are allowed. However, each writer’s name and information must be included on the entry form and signed by each writer. The work must be the sole and exclusive property of all co-writers on the Entry Form if the winner judges a collaborative script. SKW will split the prize equally between its co-writers.
20. Make sure to keep your original story documents for your records.
21. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries.
22. The winner will be posted on our website (Stone Knight Productions) and (Stone Knight Writers) Facebook notified by email or mail after the end of the contest.
23. SKW reserves the right to withdraw or terminate this contest without prior notice. NOTE: If SKW receives a small number of insufficient entries. SKW will forfeit the contest and return all fees to the writer(s).
24. The deadline for sending your screenplay, Entry Form, Entry Fee, Headshot, and Synopsis must be before the deadline. If documents or payments are not submitted correctly by the deadline, your contest entry will be disqualified.
25. All employees of SKW or SKP are prohibited from entering the contest. However, any family member of SKW or SKP may enter the contest, but they must pay the full entry fee or become a subscriber to participate in the contest.
26. We have three (3) Writer packages to choose from to participate in any contest.
Here is the following:
Adult Package: Only for ages 18 and up
Youth Package: Only for ages 12 to 17
Cash Prize: For ages 12 and up
27. The Cash Prize is only for Writers who want to win cash prizes without a contract agreement or selling of their story. A friendly contest to win cash prizes.
28. The approximate value of the Cash or Award prizes is ($XXX.XX) for every contest.
29. You may have to pay a card fee if you prefer a credit or debit card.
30. The Winner's prize will be delivered via overnight mail to them within (7) business days from the date. SKW must verify their identification.
31. If a contestant fails to follow any of the contest’s rules, the contestant will be disqualified, your fee will be returned, and they will forfeit.
32. For ALL writers that enter (Feature and Short). Their stories will be placed in our record file for a feature film project for one (1) year.
33. SKW reserves the right to change the rules for this contest at any time without notice.
34. All Feedback for Writer will be mailed or emailed to you with then (60) days when the contest ends.

THIS GUARDIAN CONSENT AGREEMENT (this "Agreement") is effective as of 2023, by and between (Writing Competiton) and Model's Guardian ("Guardian(s)") is made regarding the following:
The Writer has engaged a minor, name of Minor, years of age, born on date of birth ("Minor") under the Agreement hereinabove ("Minor’s Authorization”) to render for Short Writing Contest contemplated therein (the “Project”).
As a result, warrants show that Guardians are the Participant's legal guardians and handle the Minor's care, custody, and control. Guardians stand for and warrant that no other person’s authorization is required to grant the rights herein. Guardians have had full authority to consent to Minor’s participation in the Project.
Guardians, as a result of this consent to the execution by the Minor of the Minor’s Authorization. Guardians acknowledge that Guardians have read the Minor’s Authorization, are familiar with all the terms, covenants, and conditions set forth therein, have had an opportunity to consult independent legal advice regarding said Minor’s Authorization, and that Guardians will not revoke said consent during the minority of the Minor.
Guardians acknowledge that [he/she/they] have read, understood, and agreed to this Agreement's terms, conditions, grants, and waivers. Guardians understand that writing relies on the rights and releases conveyed under this Agreement, the loss of which by Short Writing Contest cannot readily be compensated through awarding monetary damages.
Guardians now stand for warrants and guarantee that neither (he/she/they) nor the Minor will disaffirm this Agreement at any time, whether as a minor or an adult.
Guardians at this moment consent to the production, distribution, exhibition, performance, and all other exploitation, including advertising and publicity, of the Product or the Finished Product as contemplated in Minor’s Authorization.
Guardians agree to cooperate fully with Short Writing Contest by supplying information and executing documents, as Short Writing Contest may require.
This Agreement shall apply to the Minor’s Authorization, to all modifications and extensions thereof and amendments thereof, and any other agreement between Short Writing Contest and Minor, which may be substituted in whole or in part for Minor’s Authorization.
Guardians agree that this constitutes the Agreement between the parties concerning all the matters. Its execution has not been induced by, nor do any of the parties incorporated herein and made a part. No amendment or modification hereto shall be valid unless outlined in writing and signed by both parties.
This Agreement shall inure to the benefit of, binding upon, the parties hereto, their respective successors, assigns, licensees, next of kin, heirs, administrators, executors, officers, and agents, the case may be. If any provision of this Agreement is adjudged unlawful, void, or unenforceable, in whole or part, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Guardians have carefully read this Agreement, understand its contents, and have had an opportunity to seek independent legal advice concerning the review and advisability of entering this Agreement.
IN WITNESS of whom, the parties have caused this Agreement to be duly executed and delivered as of the day and year first above written.
